וַיְמָאֵ֣ן לָס֗וּר וַיַּכֵּ֣הוּ אַבְנֵר֩ בְּאַחֲרֵ֨י הַחֲנִ֜ית אֶל־הַחֹ֗מֶשׁ וַתֵּצֵ֤א הַֽחֲנִית֙ מֵאַחֲרָ֔יו וַיִּפָּל־שָׁ֖ם וַיָּ֣מָת תחתו [תַּחְתָּ֑יו] וַיְהִ֡י כָּל־הַבָּ֣א אֶֽל־הַמָּקוֹם֩ אֲשֶׁר־נָ֨פַל שָׁ֧ם עֲשָׂהאֵ֛ל וַיָּמֹ֖ת וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽדוּ׃
Er weigerte sich jedoch, sich abzuwenden. darum schlug ihn Abner mit dem hinteren Ende des Speers in die Leiste, so dass der Speer hinter ihm herauskam; und er fiel dort hinunter und starb an derselben Stelle; und es begab sich, dass so viele wie an den Ort kamen, an dem Asahel hinfiel und starb, still standen. .
